Consumer Credit Counseling Services

Introduction
Consumer Credit Counseling Services is a non-profit agency in Sheboygan, WI, that helps its clients navigate personal finances through education, counseling, financial workshops, advocacy, and management programs. They have several physical locations across Wisconsin and have been an organization since 1912.
The Problem and Goals
When Lucid and Luxe began working with CCCS, they already had a website in place, but it needed a complete revamp. During our Discovery Phase, we outlined two primary goals for their updated website:
- Refresh the website with a modern design that is easy to navigate and appeals to a broad range of clientele.
- Revamp and reuse the information from the original website, so information is easy to find and comprehend.
The Solution and Result
In our first phase of development for the refreshed website, we began by updating the company’s branding. Blue was already in their color palette—a choice we agreed to retain; blue is a very calming color, and it was a good fit with their services and message. We also added a contrasting bright orange and green secondary palette to offset the blues, primarily for call-to-action buttons. Finally, we updated the font to a sanserif bold, which feels modern and adds confidence to the visual text on the screen.
In the wireframing phase, we created an entirely new layout for all pages to ensure the services and support CCCS offers are clear to their clients and prospective clients. The home page and each service page included a strong headline and tag, several blocks of information about the type of finance programs they offer, client reviews, and several call-to-action buttons.
Finally, we strategized on how to organize and best present the core and secondary services offered by CCCS. This was done to ensure that information is categorized in a robust format for audience comprehension and understanding. This website has more pages than traditional websites, but the organization also has a lot of information to share with their clients.
